Do your see your superuniti in the rooms list on the app?

When you fire up the app you should see a little picture of the superuniti. You click on that and off you go. If you don't see it press the plus sign at the bottom.

I think the confusion arises as it defaults to setting up a Mu-So and you have to select a different option to get to the Rooms List

Sounds like it, we have changed the opening page on the next release to ease the confusion, once found you won't see this opening page again in the same way.

Hi Paul,
When I activate the app - I get a screen that says set up a new mu-so or find my rooms
I clicked on find my rooms and no rooms are found so I clicked on the 3 dots at the top right and it says add room manually

It asks for my IP address - where do I get that as the SU is DHCP

there's also a message saying you only add a room if your network does not support device discovery.
I have a sky hub and net gear gigabyte router.

Thanks for your help

Exactly so - when I fired it up for the first time the Room screen had Superuniti as the only option. I clicked on that and I was away - up and running in less than a minute (I'm on firmware 3.21 btw).

Sounds like a network issue to me - when you update firmware does it find your SU automatically? I had to tweak my network to achieve this and I guess it's worked for the app as well.

Hi Pev,
I update firmware on the SU from my apple mac via a USB cable.

PS I can see an add room manually but just trying to find the SU IP?

You can find the ip in the network settings under the user menu.

Hi
I've checked under the settings but it is a cabled connection and says DHCP
Can't find the actual address though

Network settings, scroll to 5/10 which shows IP. I bet you say - I didn't know there was more after 4 - well now you know!

As its on dhcp, i would be reluctant to add it manually as that ip could change.

are you certain your device is on the wireless network (presumably of your netgear)

also are you certain you sky router is in modem only mode? Its disasterous if you have two things 'routing'

Hi All,

Thanks very much for your help. I downloaded a port scanner and found the ip address of the SU and added it in 'Add room manually'. The SU was found and that's great.

I started playing with the app last night and not all things are apparent to me i.e. finding the volume control - which I did eventually.

Is there a small user manual or help that is available for the app functions.

Also nstream used to show the nitrate of what was streaming which I found very useful but I can't see it on the new app.

Any help (as usual) would be great.

Again, thanks for your support

Regards

If you're using an iOS device, Fing works very well for enumeration of network devices.....
