Excellent news Debs.  Thanks for the heads up.

While I haven't been waiting years I'll have to wait for the October 14th release date in my part of the world.  I am going to investigate though about ordering direct from the Hyperion website as you suggest.  Might end up receiving it about the same time anyway though as borders and customs tend to slow things down in a ridiculous way.

Poking around in the upcoming section has made my doom inevitable now.  I can't keep up with what was all released from months ago and now I'm already looking forward to some other new upcoming releases.

I have ordered the 44/24 download. The download engine is awkward: the download manager fails to install on Firefox and manual download (my preferred method) only supports downloading single files. These are named 67980-01-01-hr1.flac, 67980-01-02-hr1.flac, ... 67980-01-21-hr1.flac which is not particularly informing. On the top of that the web page reacts very slowly. Quite disappointing experience, unfortunately.

I have managed to get the download manager install under Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11. The download manager itself works flawlessly and the file naming / tagging is appropriate.

Still it is a shame that one has to install IE11 to download these data and the fact that manual download and downloading via the manager yield different results is, in my opinion, simply not acceptable.

Having battled with the rather inept download manager - Linn show how it's supposed to be done - I'm listening to the album now. It's absolutely fantastic: beautifully played and beautifully recorded. Wonderful, and for £9 one cannot complain.
