Is the station down.

The 320k stream indeed seems to be down. The other two options are fine though.

Thanks.   Thought I was going mad.  Even reset my unitqute. Then was beginning to think it was the new app.   Paranoid me thinks.  Thanks for the quick reply

Sounds fine to me.

It's down on my Naim ND5XS, but it works fine on a laptop or even an iPhone (both at 320k)...

This not the first time it happened, there was one case when Radio Paradise would not play on my ND5XS, but played at everything else. I remember Naim explained it at that time and fixed within 24 hrs or so.

Sad. I was worried too that something happened to my nd5xs. This is my all time favorite station so hope this will be fixed soon!

Oh ye of little faith! RP 320 is back up. Happy listening

Same here - thanks gods for the Forum  What upsets me though is that there are still stations that will play just fine on a computer, but constantly run out of buffer space on ND5XS. With the money I paid for ND5XS I would expect it not to work worse than an old laptop that cost half that even when it was new... Heck, my little deddicated internet radio in the kitchen plays the "Audiophile Baroque" station without any problems and ND5XS runs out of memory on it every few seconds! And it's not the network, I have a very stable 240mbps internet connection and ND5XS (latest firmware) is on an ethernet cable, not wi-fi.

BTW, somebody here recommended to use wi-fi with ND5XS as it may have a larger buffer. Tried that, didn't work. Very, very irritating.

I've given up trying to stream 320kbps streams on the NDS.

Instead I've resorted to using my Synology NAS to stream RP 320 radio as a Upnp track and as a bonus, it converts it to 24bit wave stream as well.

Can you describe how you did that? There has been discussions on this forum on how to achieve it, nobody was successful and the consensus was that it can't be done...

Mmmmm I've got a synology Nas as well.  Wouldn't mind experimenting

Also Synology here - DS214play. No luck so far, tried many things to get the Synology to choose the station and the ND5XS to just play it as a stream. Recently I found the first hint that somebody solved the puzzle, on a different forum... I wrote about it recently: https://forums.naimaudio.com/to...05#41551088637336005

I'm using Minimstreamer on the Synology and created a m3u playlist of the radio stations that I usually tune into. It's the syntax of the m3u file that needs to be correct and I'll only able to post the details later as I'm out.

In any case, the stream transcode functionality of Minimstreamer to wav24 works for Internet radio as well. You need to set MP3:wav24 and AAC:wav24

THANK YOU! Yes, the correct m3u syntax was the solution to the issue in the thread I quoted above, but this is the first time on THIS forum that I see somebody actually succeeded. I'm installing Minimserver tonight

Can I buy you a beer?

PS. Just installed Minimserver. The installation was very simple and trouble-free. First benefit over Synology's native Multimedia Server is already obvious: the scan of the music library (ca. 1500 albums in my case) takes about 1 minute (instead of 20 minutes)!

I'll play with the m3u file tomorrow.

THANKS VERY MUCH for sharing and making my (and maybe others') life easier!

I keep having playback issues with the 320 stream of Paradise. Other stations, including Naim's own 320 stream, work fine (using wifi on a ND5xs) this one seems to have buffering issues. Does anyone else experience issues?

Yes and yes. I never had any 320kbps stream to work properly on the NDS and it was the same previously when i had the ND5XS. I am using a hard-wired ethernet connection direct to the switch and my internet is a 500Mbits fiber line so there is no reason why i should be having any bandwidth issues. Radio Paradise and Naim Radio all play fine on my PC/Mac in 320kbps so i guess the issue is really with the Naim streamers.

hi we are working with Radio paradise on this issue currently, we updated the station links yesterday evening (uk time). to use the updated links you will need to shutdown and restart your products in order to be sure that the links update correctly
