Help needed with updating firmware on Uniti 1

I am desperate for help with updating my Uniti 1.

I have a Macbook Pro running Mavericks and recently purchased a USB to Serial Adaptor to enable me to update my software from 3.17 to 3.22 on my Uniti streamer.

I have downloaded the required drivers and gone through the installation process successfully and the computer automatically rebooted itself.

But when I start the Naim updater software it does not show the drivers in the menu nor in the system report>hardware>usb window.

I have contacted Naim but they have failed to come up with a solution, has anyone else had this problem or any help would be appreciated.

Mac support for firmware upgrades is a recent thing - Given your issue I would try doing this in Windows instead.

Either borrow a Windows laptop or try Boot camp dual booting your MacBook. It may be possible using virtualisation software (Parallels, VMware) but I wouldn't try this myself as you really want the access to the serial adaptor to be as stable as possible.
