New U2 album

Just listened to U2's new album 'Songs of Innocence' on Qobuz. Sadly the benefits of lossless resolution, as opposed to Itunes, not so apparent. Like quite a few recent recordings (e.g. The Verve's last LP) it sounds squashed. Music/recording lacks colour. I suppose peak limiting has been used to make it sound better on a smart phone ...

I wanted to like this as I have several U2 albums. But I have to say I'm dissapointed by this lacklustre effort. Utterly forgettable. Lyrics stale.
