Sharing [uncopyright] music files via the net ... Is there a service where one could upwards such files to so that they may be accessed in similar fashion to photographs being accessed from flickr or photobucket?

I'd be very interested to know about such a service, mainly for use in the Music room.

This may offer something you can use. I am not familiar with it total content except for listening to some live recordings posted here in the live music archive section.

Thanks for the answers.

I'll investigate. After all it would be good to illustrate musical points with real music rather than a paragraphs of words that means something different for each reader, to some extent at least!

As an aside...
"Uncopywritable"
is the longest word in the English language (well, dictionary anyway) that does not repeat a letter.
