Mu-So behaviour when loading tracks

I was hoping someone could confirm whether there is a problem with the Muso when loading tracks.

I have set my unit to have the illuminated sign set to "off". When I play a track (either via Network streamed in FLAC using QNAP/Twonky) or directly from USB, I get the same behaviour. There is a noticeable gap at the end of a track, and the volume wheel illuminates whilst the new track loads. The noticeable gap makes listening to gapless like Abbey Road rather unpleasant.

I would really appreciate if someone could confirm whether this is a known problem. I have a Uniti and my system set up works perfectly.

Thanks & regards

I don't think the volume wheel illumination is affected by the illumination control, just the light in the perspex base. PS mentioned on the other Muso thread that gapless playback was being addressed for a future app upgrade.

Steve - Have just checked and the light level surrounding the control wheel is definitely affected by the lighting settings on my Muso. There are 4 levels of light intensity (including fully off). Hence the problem I mentioned when a new track cues up for playing. Perhaps you could try using in low ambient light and I am sure the issue will be apparent.

Thanks for confirming that the gapless issue is being addressed.

A workaround for mu-so not doing gapless playback via uPnP is to stream from iTunes using Airplay.
