Great UQ2 sound - now I need to re-cable!

Just added the UQ2 to my setup, to augment the 172XS in the lounge running off a Synology NAS. UQ2 is in my shed/home office and is very nice powering some Neat Iotas - great SQ and take advantage of the limited space. Only problem is the network, as the shed is up the garden with just power cables currently. Powerline adapters (WD Livewire) work ok for CD quality streaming from my ripped to FLAC collection but having started to invest in Qobuz downloads the buffering is just not coping - can get around 5 seconds for 24/96 material so I am having to make do with 16/44.1- which works well. I also don's get sufficient wifi even with an extender so the naim IOS app is no use, but at least the remote works.
So, it looks like I need to get into some ethernet cabling - a whole new skill-set for me. Will go for CAT6 and can keep under the 100m recommendation but a few challenges. Will be external obviously and with the power cable not able to be buried due to the garden slope, I am probably going to have to follow a similar tack; my concern there is whether any external radiation will be an issue. . Anyone had any similar experiences and what were the pitfalls to avoid? Will also need to go switch to switch as will be driving my PC and will probably set up a spare route as a wifi extender so that my IOS apps work.
