New Naim User - Mu-So Help Anyone?

I have just purchased the Mu-So and I am extremely impressed with it, although I have a couple of questions:
I have linked the device up to the network fine, although when switching to Spotify from the Naim app, it will not play through the Mu-So, it always plays through the phone. I have checked Spotify settings for ‘Devices to stream’, the Mu-So is there and selected, but still it plays through the phone. Maybe something obvious here but I’m stuck!
One other thing. I have the Mu-So placed on a desk against a wall, about 30cm away from the wall. If I sit directly in front of it about 2m away (chest height), there seems to be no bass response whatsoever. However, if I move and stand at the side of the Mu-So or the extreme edges of the room, all the bass is now apparent. I’d obviously like to achieve that but sitting in front of it, maybe you can advise me on placement?
