How do I add new radio stations to my Muso?
Posted by: arcam_boy on 08 December 2014
Hello,
I'm the proud owner of a Muso and having set it up tonight I'm very very pleased with it for what it is!
Having not owned a naim streaming product before I'm struggling to add my own radio pre-sets.
I've managed to add one or two from a list of 'popular' etc but I'd like to add Capital Xtra to my list but can't work out how to do it. I've followed something I found on the internet where I add my MAC address but it still won't work?
I've been through the manual supplied and had a look at the muso webpage and nothing!
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mark

There is another manual on the website, not sure if that will help.

In the Naim app, when you are playing a radio station you will see a little star. Press it and hey presto, a preset.

Thanks for the reply.
I've looked through all the manuals and although it mentions iradio it doesn't say how to do alot with it?
I've figured out the star button but how do I find a station like capital xtra? It's quite a big national station and yet when I put capital in to the search nothing comes up the same with Heart FM??

Press the Internet Radio icon top left, select from the different locations and submenus. Press star when you find one to save.

It's very simple as I describe above.

That is simple what you describe Steve however doesn't really solve my problem as such.
I spent nearly an hour last night trying to find Capital and can't find it anywhere. Surely for such a slick app and superb product they'd just have something a little easier to use find. As I say I'd understand if I was looking for a small local station but Capital FM/Xtra is a pretty big station.
I don't suppose anyone else can find it? I'll have another search later but spending over an hour trying to find one station isn't the greatest and I only persevered so long as it was a new 'toy'

If you go onto UK, All Stations and then scroll down to C you'll find the station you want.

Yep, that's where it is.

Many thanks Steve.
I've got home and had a look and indeed you're right. I'm not sure what I was doing wrong yesterday - must of been all the excitement of a new bit of kit!
All my own stations now add to the pre-sets :-)

My pleasure. I'm pleased you have it sorted now.

When you select a station with the star where is it stored?
Posted on: 10 December 2014 by Steve J
In your presets. When you select a station as a favourite it asks if you want to replace a preset station or add one. You see the presets when you're on the Internet Radio page of the app.

OK thanks Steve.
So much to learn so little time.
I watched a programme about Quantum theory tonight, my brain hurts now.

Did you know that you can add missing stations and easily set up your favourite stations online using the vtuner website?
You can do so at naim.vtuner.com.
Simply get the MAC address from your unit and register it!

Slightly OT, but who owns or runs iRadio?
Is it Apple?
