I don't quit understand why Naim chooses for the streaming service Spotify  instead of Qobuz who are streaming in CD-quality ?

Probably because it will appeal to Muso buyers. Also, Spotify are less likely to go bust any time soon.

Spotify:

  • Paying subscribers: Over 12.5 million
  • Active users: Over 50 million

Qobuz doesn't have that many subscribers and is twice as expensive.

I love Spotify for it's functionality. 320kb/s is good enough for me. And who knows, maybe they will improve in the future.

What money on Qobuz going under (???) is maybe near to the answer

I refuse to be ripped off by Qobuz charging 19.99GBPounds instead of charging the equivalent of 19.99 Euros to UK customers . Which would be about £15.85  Spotify is good enough,

I am very happy they went Spotify since Qobuz is not even available if Finland. Suppose that might be the case for a bunch of other countries as well.
