New qute owner, probably old stupid questions

Posted by: Passmestick on 17 December 2014

Greetings all, had my qute 2 for a week now had am very pleased so far! After my very old Sugden which didn't even have a CD button, it's quite a leap for me.

I do have a couple of questions though.

First, my qute2 already has Spotify enabled which I'm using without problems, but I see the latest firmware is 4.1. Going through the factory settings menu on my qute2 against version is says 4.0.00. Is this the firmware version and if so would I be best doing the upgrade?

Second, I'm using the Android app, which is kind of flaky, and am having problems seeing folders I've created on my ReadyNas duo. The app sees all my CDs I've copied over but can't see the folders I've created and still sees folders I've deleted.

Anyone have an idea whether this the app, the qute2 or the NAS?

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

John

Yes, it's worth updating.

The folder issues are down to the nas. You can probably see the old folders because you have not emptied the recycle bin.

Thanks Hungryhalibut for the very fast response!

Was fairly sure it would be the NAS the DLNA on it isn't the best.

So the update is worth doing! Looks like I'll have a go over the next couple of days. Reading many other posts it looks like I shouldn't brick it at least but it'll come under the 'gulp' factor.....

Cheers
