Music CD contents not correct

Posted by: Dungassin on 21 December 2014

I recently bought a used copy of the album 'Blow My Fuse' (remastered) via Amazon.  When I came to rip it to my NAS, dBpoweramp called it 'Midnite Dynamite' (another Kix album), and gave the track titles from that album.  I checked it, and my ripper was correct.

Emailed vendor today via Amazon, and have just received a reply to say that they have checked another copy of Blow My Fuse which also turned  out to be Midnite Dynamite.  She also checked a CD of Midnite Dynamite and this actually turned out to be Blow My Fuse!  She's sending me that disc FOC (good retailer)

Poor quality control at the pressing plant, methinks.  (Record Label - Rock Candy)

The fact that I now know of at least two similarly faulty copies + one other CD with the reverse fault makes it likely that it is a batch problem.  I will keep both CDs, but only to comply with the copyright law as applies to my ripped versions.
