Metadatics and Album Art

Posted by: Camlan on 29 December 2014

Bit of a long shot this but someone may have some experience/be able to help.

I am trying to edit some downloaded files cover art with Metadatics. Have searched, found and changed the required artwork and Metadatics is showing the new artwork and the new artwork only.

However Nserve is still showing the old artwork despite numerous rescans.

Anybody got any ideas?

I do use Metadatics for tag editing -- it's now my go-to program for this use.

But I manually put the album art in a file named folder.jpg within the same folder as the music files; this is what is often wanted by the hardware, including Naim servers.

As Wat wrote, in Metadatics under the Artwork menu there is an option to "extract" the artwork to a file; you can pick the name of the file and its location.  Name it folder.jpg and put it in the same folder as the music (the default).

Thanks both. I think I understand. Will try it tomorrow.
