Closer look and the O is actually a C, but yes both sides have identical etchings..

Tony/Rob,

Mine has A1 0 on side 2 and A2 with a reversed capital N on side 1. It isn't scratched out though. I also have the CPRY 4543 3T. I bought this on the day it was issued and it also has the Fan Club insert. I was really into Bowie at the time having met him whilst working at the Pavilion theatre in Torquay when he played there in 1972 at the beginning of the Ziggy Stardust tour. I think I may have mentioned on the forum before that he was also responsible for impressing my then girlfriend when he pointed directly at me (we were standing at the front of the crowd) when playing Watch That Man. Boy, did I have a good time that night.

Haken ~ The Mountain (2013)

One listen the other day and this went straight on my "to buy" list.

Rob and Steve..

I have learned to appreciate his music a lot more in recent years having never been much into his stuff apart form the seminal  ZS.

I'm going to do some more digging to see what else I can find out about these  "dodgy etchings".

Thank you both.

PS: The german pressing of AS  is miles  better than  the UK one.

I'm just the opposite Tony, I was really into all of his '70s and early to mid 80s stuff then I tired of listening to him; but I enjoyed hearing AS again this afternoon, so Steve has inspired a Thin White Duke evening for me.

PS Does the German pressing win on penalties after extra time??

My experience with Bowie was that I loved his earlier albums up to Diamond Dogs but kind of lost interest thereafter. I seem to like the rocking' Bowie but my favourite all time Bowie LP is Hunky Dory.

I looked in the Record Collector book and the 1st press AS has the CPRY.... matrix, as mentioned above, with a white Victor on the right side on a glossy orange RCA label with a card inner and lyric sheet and Fan Club insert. No mention is made of the etchings. If you find out more Tony let us know.

Vertigo Swirl first press vinyl.

Live in Amsterdam

Such a wonderfully recorded album of great music.  Beth Hart is one of the few singers around today with the strength of voice to keep up with Joe Bonamassa's guitar & band.

A great, live album.  Good enough to make you want to get out of the chair and dance around to some of the tracks.

Oh and it's a triple album on vinyl too, so excellent value by today's standards

Soen ~ Tellurian (2014)

Another new band to me and put straight onto the "to buy list".

"This is an album that sees Soen finding their own voice, and finding it with considerable atmosphere and style. Progressive, melodic and haunting, 'Tellurian' is rock that can be enjoyed with both heart & head.

I'm the last person for reviews. I write here what hits me and it even depends on the mood of the moment. I don't know what happened around 1990 but blues had a kick. I'm listening for the third time to Black Night (track 8) and i get blown. That Stratocaster kills me. For what it's worth i think you should put a record of this on your Roksan and let it go.

Have you ever listened to Bobby Kind and Terry Evans's Live and let Live?

Ist press vinyl. So much better than the recent reissue. There may be a little surface noise on quieter passages but it's so more 'alive'.

They had a beautiful choir on I've got to sing my song and they did not use it on Get Here. Shame. Another spin.

An intense report of sax and piano with the sax more in the lead, like it...

Relaxing, quite different intensity from the one before...

I agree. One of my long-time favourites. Excellent sound quality, too.
