Self titled collection of studio recording released 1953. Transferred from the original 10" onto the 12" LP.

Later 6 Eye pressing actually sounds more dynamic. They must have remastered it.

This album shows Garner's terrific improvisation. All hard swinging tunes with addictive sense of timing.

Pendragon ~ Pure (2008)

It's interesting that Discogs "recommend" some Steven Wilson and Porcupine Tree albums as alternate listening alternatives to this. Very much the Pendragon sound here which means good old style prog'.

Younger Brother ~ Flock of Bleeps (2003)

Usually too early in the day for me to partake in these sort of sounds but it had been left in the play queue (from a previous session) and has followed on from Pendragon, so I am going with the flow...

A bit a stranger piece of music, but nevertheless not something to turn off

Colleen Rennison ~ See The Sky About To Rain (2014)

More from this young woman, tonight her solo album (away from No Sinners). My first listen to this excellent album. Thanks Ewemon.

"Debut solo album from Colleen Rennison, singer from Vancouver based roots band No Sinner. The album draws on blues and roots and includes classic covers of Neil Young's See The Sky About To Rain, Joni Mitchell's Coyote and The Band's Stage Fright amoungst others. Colleen's voice channels power, tenderness and a range of emotions that seem like they couldn't possibly come from a singer who's only 25 years old."

They are new to me Pat and I'm surprised how accomplished they are having collaborated with several heavyweights  in the music world(credited and uncredited). Will definitely explore them further.

Mogwai ~ Young Team (1997)

Their debut album and still one of their best.

"Not everyone gets Mogwai, but that’s what makes them great. Theirs is a majestic, powerful sound where barely a word is spoken yet it is the [total] antithesis of background music."

Hawkwind  "Electric Tepee"   on cd

first track is a bit of a 'Brainstorm' track : long, repetitive, fast paced trip into the cold interstellar ambience of "Blue Shift".
