I listened to some tracks of Lost In The Dream on youtube and i must say it's well done. I'll add this to my wantlist as well.

Try to have a listen to some of Kurt Vile's solo work, or with the Violators as well Gianluigi, it is very similar to The War On Drugs and at times I do prefer listening to Kurt's stuff.

Dave Kertzner ~ New World (2014)

An interesting "find" and suggestion Bert. As you say it has similarities to Pink Floyd. It also has undertones of Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson and ELP amongst other influences . Not surprising then to find Keith Emerson is involved on a Moog synth' at some stage. Keith Hackett on guitar and various others names contribute. Most definitely a new prog' rock work.  I have kept it queued on Spotify and will give it another play sometime, before making a buying decision.

Steve

I will definitely buy it and even go for the deluxe version which includes prolonged intros and additional songs which fit into the theme (which is quite unique as it's not a "normal bonus"). It's by the way like a lot of great music available through bandcamp.

I was just about to click on buy now but couldn't decide on standard or extended (delux) versions :-( Already spent too much, this week, on music :-( My worry is the 'extra' stuff on the delux version ends up making it just too long. Heck it's 143 mins!! I'm lucky if I get a spare 45-60 mins to listen to an album let along over 2 hours!! Playing on spotify at the moment :-)

This time deluxe really means something, you should give it a try..., makes it even more atmospheric...

On my third listen now. Excellent BUT I have an issue with the 2+ hours length :-( So far I've not managed more than an hour into it due to a lack of time. I hate part listening to an album (back to my 'concept album' roots I suppose) so each time I start again from the beginning. Longest continual listening time is at work from 7am 'till the gang start turning up and that's through some crappy speakers on my PC. Maybe it's time to get a dragonfly and some semi-okay headphones for work? Anyway enough of my gripes.... damn good album - well the first hour is great anyway! ;-)

Just get the normal version as well - and you will be at an acceptable listening time :-)

Available in 96KHz now as well!

Arghhh bought it too early then....

Real Xs radio, from my little unitiqute's internal tuner, digitised and played through my Hugo. For a free built in tuner it often surprises me how good it sounds, makes me wonder how much better a stand alone Naim tuner would be

Seeing her progress from the shy girl performing with a string quartet @ Cecil Sharp House and now in front of a 1700 strong crowd has been wonderful.

I remember this f**k me moment when I first heard 'Don't Go' - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wfWLxpcmhY

I've been a fan ever since and highly recommend seeing Rae 'live'.
