First spin.

The Doobie Brothers. What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits. Original vinyl from 1974. The early Doobies albums are fantastic musically with superb sonics. The Warner Brothers green label and 'Burbank' palm tree labels from the early/mid 70s are consistently among the best mainstream US pressings I have.

Fleetwood Mac. Rumours. Original vinyl from 1977. Another great sounding pressing on the WB Burbank label.

He played it as one of his encore when he was in town. I remember the sound of piano was so much more powerful than what's on the CD.

Strictly for Garner maniac only.

This is a collection of improves he made in Timme Rosenkranz's apartment in 1944. He was a recording engineer for Blue Note before Van Gelder.

Quite primitive and the piano appears to be a bit out of tune.

The album opens with dreamy Debussy like rich chords then he gets into more free style creative modes. He was just 23 when this was done, but he already shows his signature beat.

Tangerine Dream ~ Stratosfear (1976)

This version remastered in '95.

Kraftwerk ~ Trans Europe Express (1977)

This version sounding even better for being well remastered in 2009

"The original German pressing (and many of the other editions) featured a monochrome portrait by New York photographer Maurice Seymour, with the group dressed in suits to resemble mannequins.A highly retouched colour photo montage of the group by J. Stara is used for the British, American and other editions". - Discogs

Fantastic cd.

Riviera Paradise here is awesome.

Listening to the track Riviera Paradise on Spotify Premium (US) right now and sounds very fine.  Will check out the whole album tomorrow.  Thanks.

Tangerine Dream ~ Exit (1981)

This was the last TD album that held my interest, having said that I must dip into their later work again (on Spotify) to see if my feeling has changed.

Love the lyrics.. Direct and to the point and sometimes even thought provoking.. Somewhat Lllly Allen - esque but thoroughly enjoyable ... Listening via Qobuz

This from last night sublime music exceptional SQ yet again from Music Matters 33rpm series.

As I have quite a number of versions of Chopin, you start to get a feel for the signature of the different players. To me Pietro plays very much as intended, he doesn't make it more dramatic as quite a number of others do, or more fluid, sometimes he stays a bit restrained/contemplative. It was a good idea to buy this set from the Italian Amazon site...

MinistryΚΕΦΑΛΗΞΘ [better known as Psalm 69] (1992)

Hard driving industrial heavy metal, this certainly clears the sinuses. Excellent when in the mood.

Experimenting with NAS playback from my library vs lossless streaming via Qobuz. I played the 16/44.1 NAS stored version vs the Qobuz 'Hi-Res' (I know it's not through the Sonos Connect).

The lossless stream sounds better.

hmmmm.

"Jesus Built My Hotrod" would be one of my Desert Island Disc selections. Gibby Haynes from the Butthole Surfers was the vocalist on that track.

The next leap is quite a big one - try another of Al Jourgensen's bands - Rev Co (which is shortened name, their real name is longer) and the album Beers, Steers and Qveers.  Scotland's Chris Connelly did most of the album's vocals as well as the album artwork.
