The Knife ~ Silent Shout (2006)

Their fifth album and for those who don't know, they are brother and sister, the sister being Karin Dreijer Andersson of Fever Ray fame.

Then switched to this, a bit much noise on it, but that's unfortunately the case for these kind of recordings...

You could also consider two further two album sets - The Vaudeville Years and Show Biz Blues each with much unreleased stuff not released on Blue Horizon etc.

Thanks Charles I will look into those two suggestions.

Interesting to listen or a typical DG "looking like a model" Star?

He is definitely overhyped, but he is also a very good listen...., so this time don't let looks deceive you...

Probably my favorite Organ recording - right from the first 'track'. This one was picked up in Germany a couple of decades ago on holiday at one of the cathedral shops.

I don't know why this deeply moves me when I play it - a lot of so-called good classical recordings seem technically good but leave me cold - but Werner Jacobs playing on this transports me to a different mental plane - I'm all for it!

Have this on original vinyl, but it's not sounding so great anymore - I obviously didn't look after my records so well in the early '80s. So . . . I was well chuffed to find that it was available as a 24Bit download.

Well chuffed !
