The Doors. Strange Days. On HDCD from 1999. The Bernie Grundman remaster. Probably my least listened to Doors album and I wonder why? It's very artistic and progressive, especially for it's time and place.

The oddest 5th Concerto.

May-September Barenboim/Klemperer set. But not as successful as Gould/Stokowski combo.

Slower than normal tempo for orchestra as if they are in a slow motion. Barenboim seems having a bit of difficult time figuring out what Klemperer is up to. I can hear a slight hesitation in his playing. Orchestration itself is gorgeous with full of textures and inner details but together with Barenboim's rhythmically dead playing it can be a tad rich like tub of over sweetened milk chocolate.

After a pondering 1st movement, it gets a bit better with 2nd movement where beautifully rendered inner feeling and expressions. Barenboim still lags behind. This is a case where a kid follows blindly to his geriaric father.

Paul McCartney. Chaos And Creation In The Backyard. On CD from 2005. Among the best of his 30 or so studio albums. Wonderful cover photo taken by his brother.

Fancied some Joy Division, haven't listened to any for ages.

This 1991 Japanese five CD set (long deleted, now available for silly money) is the best-sounding "pressing" of JD in digital form.

First off, the best debut album (best album period?) ever:

Listening to it in high res. I love this version of Isabelle as it's pure, direct and raw..... On the other side of the spectrum I like very much the version of Nathan Milstein which is much more lyrical...

Excellent relaxing music for a Sunday.  Similar in mood to a mix of Enya, Lorde and London Grammar;

 (Also my first download from Qubuz).

I've joined you, Haim. It's a great record. And yes, thanks to those on here that recommended it. This really is great place to learn about new (or old) music.
