Great melodies, lyrics and recording quality from The Scottish Company. The swing of the title track is worthy of the glory days of Linn/Naim partnership.

Can't see the picture, what is it ?

I am happy with the DG contract. It will enable us to buy some new recordings from maestro Sokolov...

Very interesting album, with special coverage of Chopin exudes (the best version I think), some side noises though....

She's so cute and with her velvety voice, I don't even mind when she hits a wrong note.

Maybe notes sound a little different in English that in another language. Wait, maybe that is intonation.

New Steven Wilson album Hand Cannot Erase. Sounds very nice on vinyl.

Tunde Baiyewu ~ Diamonds In A Rock (2014)

Liking his voice and music with Lighthouse Family in the 90's and his first solo album Tunde back in 2004 I thought I would give this a try.

Underworld - Dubnobasswithmyheadman (Disc 2)

A chum told me that not only was the reissue of this classic a great remaster (it is) but that the material on the 5 disc super deluxe version was all gold. I was suspicious, and as I'm unemployed plumped for the two disc version. The stuff on disc 2 is terrific, and in every way just as good as the original album.

I do do wonder about that 5 disc version ...

Just via Spotify Premium, still pretty good though.

Molly Hatchet. Flirtin' With Disaster. On original vinyl from 1979. I'm a big fan of George Marino's mastering and it fits this album well; tight and fast with some punch.

On white vinyl.

Stéphane Grappelli ' I Got Rhythm!' with the Hot Club of London.

1973 Live Recording at Queend Elizabeth Hall.

I always had a sweet spot for Grappelli.

These US reissue records are wafer thin and a bit noisy.

Nirvana. Nevermind (1991). Pallas pressing from 2009. I much prefer the vinyl to CD, but the music and sound is commanding in either format.
