Warren Zevon. Sentimental Hygiene. On vinyl from 1987. Whilst reshelving my ZZ Top, this caught my attention. Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Don Henley, Brian Setzer, Peter Buck, Michael Stipe, Jimmy Iovine, Shelley Yakus, and of course Jackson Browne. Seems everyone wanted to record with Warren in those days.

Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks - 2CD

One of my favourite live music venues as on a clear day you can see Denver in the distance behind the stage. Great natural accoustics.

Better Than Home

Some tracks off the album.

Eschenbach's Mozart piano sonata.

I put him in a same company as Buchbinder.

There isn’t much of interpretation going on here, rather this is a bland clean play through.

You're welcome!

Koko! I must have the first one somewhere in the attic.

A mess!

Glenn Gould Mozart Piano Sonata Vol. 3

He recorded them back in 1965 but the album did not get released till 1972.

I bet that Columbia execs. probably didn't know what to do with these highly eccentric Gould's Mozart pieces.

Blazing fast Saturday matinee Keystone Cops version or No.12 K.332 sonata clocking at just 13 min! Gould is playing like Bach piece happily humming along with the tunes. As one expect from Gould, this is highly creative and individualistic intepretation. His diction is clear as a bell, notes are delivered by angular  toy soldiers in goose steps. There isn’t an ounce of fluidity. But it's just fun and cheeky light hearted approach. And certainly I am enjoying this ride.

Dave Grusin Mountain Dance.

1979 Digital Recording @ A&R Studio.

JVC Japan pressing. A rare instance that a Japanese pressing sounding slightly better than the US pressing which has a quite noticeable treble distortion and boost.

One of his classics. But i'm still listening to On Golden Pond soundtrack today and can't turn to his other records.

Tangerine Dream ~ Alpha Centauri (1971)

Tangerine Dream's early "Kosmische Musik" and John Peel's recommended import of 1971, which perhaps helped them to be signed by Virgin Records by the end of the year.

With Laura's new release next month, a reminder of the excellent predecessor. I saw Laura perform songs from this album, twice. My admiration for her songwriting increased as a result

I agree, we much enjoyed Laura Marlin live.

Talking of very good female singers, just playing 20 free MP3s from Esther O'Connor.
