Steve, I've just bought the original vinyl(Stone Dirt) because I enjoyed the streaming so much. Very Butterfield Blues Band. Looking forward to it.

On CD:-

The Decemberists - Castaways and Cutouts

Tony,

The lead singer and harmonica player is Rod Piazza. If you like The Dirty Blues Band you'll also like the other group he was in, Bacon Fat. Check out Grease One For Me and Tough Dude. They also played with George 'Harmonica' Smith on a really good LP called No Time For Jive. These are all on the Blue Horizon label so the original LPs aren't cheap but a CD compilation of their work has been released called the Complete Blue Horizon Sessions. It's a misnomer as it doesn't include Tough Dude, which was released when Blue Horizon changed from CBS to Polydor.

Thanks, Steve.

I've stopped buying  CDs altogether but if I like the albums I won't mind spending the extra on the original vinyl. Appreciate all the info and thumbs up for posting.

Thanks again.

CD rip AIFF a B/D present from my eldest, prompted by SWMBO I guess. Most enjoyable , he has his patch well staked out à la JJ Cale(not similar musically) ie the same each time but somehow seems different.

Steve Earle and the Dukes - Terraplane

E.L.O. - Eldorado.

I took the Shubaly off. It was dire and sounded like a drunk singing in his bathroom. Anyone wants it they can have it. I won't even charge postage.

Now on:

Which is considerably better...

Original Reprise vinyl. Basically a bloody good jam session. Alex Dmochowski plays some wicked bass to complement PG's lead guitar.
