My first ever real gig was the IoW festival 1970, I didn't know it was going to be at the time but it has also turned out to be the best gig of my life.... 45 years ago this August bank holiday.

I think I have collected all of the Live at the IoW 1970 albums in one form or another, I might just have a listen to them all in sequence over that weekend.

Yes indeed Sam; for me too. SW's myriad and prog-rock musical influences shine through. Genesis style drumming - Deep Purple style dirty B3 organ. All wrapped up in a fascinating homage to a tragic life and death.

Influence TD or be influenced them by Gary?

I was hoping for a virtuous circle. As you rightly say, Schnauss is very influenced by earlier TD, but latter day TD got a bit becalmed (though Thorsten Q has his merits).

Good to see Jerome state that TD died with his dad. He can hopefully concentrate on Loom and Thorsten with Picture Palace Music.
