Amazon aren't too clever in that regard, they sold (and still do when they can get them) releases by the notorious pirate labels Radioactive and Phoenix (both, I believe run by the same bloke). They also peddled numerous pirate Hawkwind albums before Esoteric re-released them officially.

All No-noised needle-drops.

Purchased following a recommendation on this thread.  Have gone to disc 2 'Stretching out, in the studio' for my first listen.  Reproduction is much better than I expected.  The Green Manalishi version on here is the best I've heard, as is that classic Man of the World, which is slightly slower and more relaxed than the conventional versionVery pleased with this.

On vinyl. One of my favorite Lou Reed albums.

Hopefully this might work for you.  From an earlier post:

*****I may be able to help on a Mac - find the album cover at amazon or wherever, with the cursor on the cover, control/click (same time)and you will get a drop down, scroll toward bottom and choose copy image address.

come to the thread and click post replay, click the icon to the left of the smiley, paste (command key/"v" key same time) the image address into the top URL line, click in the preview window and the image should appear.  Click "insert" and the image should show in the reply window, add any remarks and click Submit Reply.*****

I have used Wikipedia many times, what album are you attempting ?

Thank you very much, Jeff! It worked - see above.

Clive

You are very welcome.  Glad it did.

Oh well, as I already have it on a superb-quality CD boot I won't bother...

Onto disc 3 now - the live stuff.  I'd forgotten how good 'Green' Fleetwood Mac were.

An official live recording of Darrell Scott, Chris Smither and Jeffrey Foucault. I have had this for ages but only played it tonight.

I don't know the provenance of the Deezer Elite FLAC stream but it sounds very good.

Chris Forsyth - Solar Motel

Hard to describe, it has elements of early krautrock (not motorik or Berlin, but reminiscent of Amon Duul 2 jams or parts of Ash Ra Tempel side ones), and the guitar work has a style and tone similar to Tom Verlaine (think long-form Little Johnny Jewel, Fire Engine).

Anyway, it's instrumental guitar rock.

Warning: This album contains some noodling.

Reminded of this having heard Johnny Too Bad on the radio yesterday. The ending of the title track always raises a smile.....

Inspired by seeing the various mentions of Kyung Wha Chung, just thought I'd have a listen to her Saint-Saens Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso Op.28, RPO, Dutoit on vinyl. Gorgeous tone and great recording.

Glad you like it MDS, I'm sure you will find the two other CDs great. The SQ on all of these are excellent as is the various material. I also played disc 2 earlier on this evening
