Quincy Jones: You've Got it Bad Girl 1973 release.
Showcasing different facets of Quincy Jones music making. Here he actually takes up on some of the vocal duty ( duet with Valerie Simpson ) but his arrangements are far more interesting than his singing.
Aretha Franklin's 'Daydreaming' is given a gorgeous harmonic colours with lyrical flute by Hubert Laws and Dave Grusin on piano in a laid back down tempo.
Feel good LP with cool cover in and out.
John Cougar Mellencamp. The Lonesome Jubilee. On vinyl from 1987. I posted a topic recently in the Music Room on DDM vinyl. Not much interest there, but this is one of those early DMMs that tends to sound a bit harsh. Taken individually the attributes are all nice; great clarity and resolution, fast and tight with a very well controlled bottom end, good overall tonal balance, and no pre-echo. But missing is the typical warmth of vinyl and it comes off sounding more like digital to me.
One of my all time fav discs.

First cd I ever bought.
I withhold my final verdict after a first listen. Some of it is inventive, some of it is Muzak (at least on first spin), difficult to get my head around it.
Feel good LP with cool cover in and out.

Willow's Song EP - Robert Reed from Bandcamp. A magical song which I've loved ever since I heard it in the original Wicker Man film. This is a great version and this EP is in my basket waiting for my next order.

This is about to be released so can say a little bit about it. If you are into jazzy folk rock ala Petangle then this is for you. Great retro feel about the album. Obviously influenced by Tim Buckley with touches of Nick Drake as well as John Martyn. Higly recommended

Through the Leanard Benstein Edition with orchetral pieces I am coming to for me unknown music. And that's quite exciting. It's a set of 80 Cd's with of course a lot of know but also a lot of unknown work.
An uncommon passion, the Passion of Marc by Reinhard Keiser, praised and loved by JS Bach.
