Unfortunately I cannot say as it is part of an agreement I have with a friend that I don't comment before the albums are they are released.

However in a troll through the net today I saw it was also up for a listen on the NPR first listen site so I would pop over there so you can make you own mind up.

Very dated or very kitsch. 1964 release.

Peggy Lee: Bridge Over Troubled Water 1979 release.

Strictly for a hardcore fan only.

Lee singing Paul Simon cover which clearly the singer losing the vocal range and struggling to keep up.

BB King's 'The Thrill is Gone' also seems out of Lee's character.

On top of it the Capitol engineer put too much reverb like that David Hamilton mist over photos, this now sounds so dated.

Many pop singers from the 50s did the cover of new pop tunes in the late 60-70s just to keep themselves up with sign of time ( that dreadful Sinatra doing the Beatles cover. :/ ) not many were successful at it.

Very interesting listening choice Kuma. One of those kind of  records that we all have and only rarely see the light of day.

matt!

You don't say you have those records, too?! lol

You're right that they are resale store darlings. They would be cool to play at the house party if I were 20 something ( since 70s' cheezy lounge seems to be in again ), but I realise I am too old for that.

I first thought a normal average quartet album, but it did have some special moments as well
