Purchased today. Rather curiously I've never had Band of Gypsys before. I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of the reproduction, especially given it's a recording of a live performnace. Bass in particular comes across very well defined. Nice to hear some long Hendrix songs, too.

This should appeal to Gary Shaw who likes a bit of 'Tron'
I'll be ordering the vinyl from Burning Shed.
It's true! Pre-ordered the CD last week, and can't wait.
No chance to check it out yet, is it only on CD or can we download?
Steve,
Download now from Bandcamp, CD & Vinyl orders from Burning Shed.

The scherzi and an assortment of lesser-known miniatures find De Maria at his best. I love this unostentatious and easy-flowing imagination.

I've wanted this for a while, but for some reason the price is just crazy, like £55 for the cd. But Qobuz have the download for £11, and now it's mine..... John Surname plays a whole range of wind instruments, with sparse electronic backing. All rather wonderful, and beautifully recorded, as you'd expect with ECM.
