Dirtwire ~ The Carrier (2014)

Another one of those great finds on bandcamp. If this is what they call swamp music then I like it.

*edit Maybe world music crossed with swamp?...whatever the tags its good.

On Harvested CD - prompted by the live albums thread. Awesome quality boot of the Floyd's famous Concertgebouw concert of September 17th, 1969.

Today's needle drops / listening:

Lots of Dire Strait favourites, but done with exposition.

Goodness knows where I picked this up! I am really enjoying this, and good SQ to boot.

Ryley Walker

Maybe as if Nick Drake had an electric band, and cheered up a bit. Good stuff.

If you haven't heard his first album then you will like that as well.

Steely Dan ~ (1972 - 1980) [Long] Box Set (1998)

This disc (3) is in effect a combination of The Royal Scam (1976) and Aja (1977)

Steve,

Thanks for posting. I wasn't aware of this one. All my SD is on vinyl, but this would play well in my shop. Planning to order the set. Cheers!

My advice would be to get the earleist editions of the Steely Dan discs. This set has been treble boosted.
