My all time favourite Melissa Manchester record. This 1978 album contains her big hit  'Don't Cry Out Loud' by the late 70's hit smith duo Carol Bayer Sager + Peter Allen, but I much prefer her cover of Stevie Wonder's 'Bad Weather'.  The entire record has been produced by Leon Ware, it has a funky R&B feel to it.

They are polar opposite to Geseking style of Debussy playing. These are colder chillier renditions where precision and clarity over depicting a typical impressionistic wearmish pastel tones.

Comparatively Michelangeli is more creative and expressive than Richter albeit they both share the laser sharp articulation and cool tonal palette.

Michelangeli’s Girl with a flaxen hair is a slender, long legged nordic blonde rather than a voluptuous Renoir's maidens.

Everything is super vivid and out of this world. More like Dali or de Chirico’s late afternoon paintings with long shadows.

Did yet have the time, but I will indeed buy it, high quality. There are some other interesting new finds on my band camp profile in my wish list as well.

Bent Knee - Shiny Eyed Babies https://bentknee.bandcamp.com/album/shiny-eyed-babies

One of my finest Bandcamp purchases on CD. Courtney Swain has a wonderful wide ranging voice that compliments the bands interesting arrangements.

Jennifer Warnes, Famous Blue Raincoat. Sorry, can't post pics. And why? Checking on how my 552 is warming up. Pretty handy test disk.
