Dire Straits,  Brothers in Arms. Despite all the stick they get, yhis is still a classic album and really well recorded.  Flac streamed via Hugo

My first exposure to Meyer and her Rameau work.

Meyer’s playing is natural and honest turning these pieces into a personal diary. Beautiful harmonic textures and colours only possible with more relaxed piano.

Her Rameau feels modern and dramatic without being over the top. All done in a classy way.

Erato's new 24/96 remaster ( done from 2007 EMI transfer ) is quite well done for the vintage. ( 1953 & 1946 recording ) Altho, 1946 concert recording suffers some clarity and tape hiss is much higher than the studio recording. Still, her brilliant keyboard work shines through.

Product Details

The latest release from Lower Dens , Escape from Evil..

If you heard the last album  Nootropics then this is different but still the same to quote John Peel , it has  a more pop sound but has a dark melancholic  underside  !

Yes ~ Going for the One (1977)

I got this as part of their well presented, great value Studio Albums 1969-1987 box set which includes 12 albums (re-mastered in 2003) plus additional material and bonus tracks.

We Are The Fallen ~ Tear the World Down (2010)

Because I have gone cold turkey for a few months not listening to either Evanescence or these guys, time to fix that. Carly Smithson's voice sounding wonderful as ever.
