George Benson ~ Give Me The Night (1980)

This was the album that got him recognised in the mainstream in the UK, more "pop" than "jazz" some of the singles made it into the top 10.

Having seen her live on Saturday during which she sang Song for Ireland, I had to re-visit this album. Her first, I think.  While the opening song is pretty much just Mary and an accompanying piano, it's remarkably powerful.

Arcane ~ A Tale of Unease (2012)

For anyone who enjoys early Tangerine Dream, this UK band really do excel in the Berlin School genre and genuinely capture the style and sound of TD.

Delivered today. Not played the multichannel mix yet but the 24/96 stereo remix by Steven Wilson ripped from the DVD sounds pretty good to me.

It's a japanese sony. Flat like only a flat recording can be.

Sade and John Mayer should, imho, do this together.

I'm bopping doggystyle.
