I am still looking for the Winterreise thread you refer to.  You know, the one that has a nice discussion about the music going without the negative put downs!  By the way, thanks for the good reminder that I need to catch up on the Goerne Schubert set.

There is some vitriol to be found though in a Winteriesse (or is it Winterreiese) thread ?  Not sure what that one is about?  Probably should be merged in with a football thread where irrational nationalism abounds and hooliganism are to be expected (my team is better than your team so there and you suck and your mother wears army boots).

Beech House - Bloom

Played this earlier today. While it's not jazz, it's very nice to hear these two playing.... You don't need to be adventourous to try this out

During my workout I had a bit of a difficult time to select the right music. I started with this. this album is not there best but it's still normally enjoyable, but I was not in the mood for it....

The switched to this. Very rhythmic Jazz and enjoyable in a lot of moods.

I finished my workout with the raw energy of the Cream. I always have liked the live albums in which the guys took of and just played. This version in high res is good, but it's in my opinion not a huge step up from the normal cd version....

A friend brought this round to my place today and left it with me for a proper listen.  This is a '96 version on the Polydor label. Hadn't heard The Who sound this good on CD before. Pinball Wizard and the full length version of Won't Get Fooled Again are stunning. Worth the purchase price for those two songs alone. I've just ordered one from Amazon.

I was given a load of CDs by my BIL today. I used to have this one but it got lost ages ago. Nice to be reacquainted with it now it's been ripped to my hard drive. There's also a lot of reggae dub to explore.
