Really good album
Acquired this based on the recommendations here. First real listen and and really enjoying.

During my workout I was listening to this. An acoustic guitar duo. People who would just buy it on that reference, might be in for a surprise. While there are quite a number of places with the typical acoustic guitar duo sound with a bit of a Latin feel. However there is also some quite heavy guitar playing in this.....I would say it's almost hard rock on acoustic guitar, while that's also not an accurate description. It's loud, with heavy groove and very enjoyable. For those who are now interested - just listen for yourself on bandcamp....
The 2nd album of the guys I listened to during my workout.
It's gonna be summer in a month and this should put you in the mood (the song gets really good at 1:44

I enjoyed it. Recorded with her road musicians mostly from live studio takes. Has kind of a loping groove I found infectious. Hope you enjoy it.
A legend!
First run
Still on Cluyten's Ravel: Le tombeau de Couperin
Amon Düül II - Yeti
bizzare, ballsy, brilliant!!
CD rip via Hugo. My favourite RP solo album.
This is not Michelangeli's famous EMI recording in the UK in the studio. This *bootleg* quality recording happened on the same year and the month ( Mar. 1957 ) but recored live in Milan with
Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano della RAI and the same conductor ( Ettore Gracis ).
Aside from the horrendous recording quality, the performance is expressive and spontaneous. Pacing is quite a bit faster than the EMI studio version and personally I think it's a much tighter performance. Timing is just spot on making every other recording of this piece dragging on their heels.
Gracis leads the Mlian Orchestra Mravinsky-like precision and authority.
There is a certain electric feel only possible with recording, perhaps.
Lute works by Sylvius Leopold Weiss played by Eduardo Eguez.
I love this record!
Blue Horizon vinyl
Imho Crossroads' with Alice Smith is fantastic.
I hoped they made it on record as well.
Anyway i think it's a great record.

It was your initial post that let me know it was coming, Ewen. I love Revelation Road and this is a nice little change to go with that.
Another of the latest guitar gods. So much talent for one so young.

Wasn't so keen on Revelation Road Jeff still think her best is her Dusty tribute album. Reminds me to dig it out.
Blind Pilot "We Are The Tide"
Love this local band. They certainly take their time with their recordings. The first was 2008. This, the second, was 2011. I am anxious for the third, but no notice when that will be. If you like Kings of Convenience, this is similar.
A great compilation album. So atmospheric.
