Trio jazz (guitar, bass, drums), strong foundation from drums almost rock type while the guitar player and the bass player solo away in balance. I like it while the drums might be a bit less in the background, or perhaps that still my cables running in....

Nrs 2 and 6 from Maazel's Pittsburgh Sibelius cycle. Revered in some corners, maligned in others, I've always felt these to sound careful to the point of blandness, but they age well. In any case worth hearing just for the amazingly lifelike recordings. The huge dynamic range practically demands these are played back at high volume level. Not your first Sibelius cycle, but one to live with.
