Hum. Another  Rob recommended this album awhile ago and pretty good they are. I wonder what happened to him?.

Thank you Charles. My first listen to this and enjoyed immensely. I will try  to find the BBC broadcast you mentioned. Thanks again.

I haven't put this one on for some years.  When it came out I thought it was wonderful, beautiful, but wasn't sure I was in the right place for it to really move me as much as it might. I came back to it about 4 years ago and it blew me away, but it was heady stuff and I haven't really dared go back since.  I'm still not entirely sure;  it's either a work of utter genius, or possibly just too self-indulgent for comfort.  Whatever, I'm enjoying now, free of whatever baggage I may have been carrying in the past...

It's strange how many of the records we own seems to tell nothing to other people. I can't remember dates, tel numbers and sometimes names etc but if i listen to a song i can tell you exactly the weather, the place, the people and the feelings..... Listening to those records is like to watch pictures i do not have.

Good record.

Sinfoyne ~ Bella Domna  (Lyrics/ Poetry written by La Comtesse de Die about 1190)

The stunning voice of Maria Kriek brings this (20th century discovery) to life and has had me transfixed today. This work from the 12th / 13th century transcends the centuries with its familiar tales of love and love lost.  The words her thoughts and her voice so ancient and yet so familiar
