Caravanserai is one of those album I never got, and I've tried a few times over the years, initially with vinyl and more recently with CD.  I just seem to get bored about 15-20 mins in and stop.  I must be missing something as I know it's an album that's rated.

Compared to the early albums, I've always regard this as a sort of Roxy-lite. But it some songs that remind me of where Roxy began eg India and The Main Thing.

Ah way back in time when it came out it was a different world and perhaps we listened to LPs lie this in a different way.

Handel's Orlando is one of his most entertaining operas, full of good music. This performance is colorful and excellent, but you'll have to cope with many Jacobsisms such as overenthusiastic continuo, unprescribed additional instrumentation, and improvisations. I wish Jacobs would let go of these mannerisms, but against that he undeniably brings a sense of theatre and excitement.

Because I came across an article in The Vinyl Press about Traffic and it made me think to play this? Glad I did.

Every now and then some John Coltrane leaves you with a reference for many to come.

My favourite Santana album. The Japanese SACD of it is stunning.
