NIN: With Teeth

Haven't listened to this since the release. Surprisingly good sounding digitally recorded vinyl.

Quintessential American *alterntative* rock with their lead singer sounding like a dude from Wilco with perpetual cold but on steroids.

Pink Floyd. The Wall (1979). On CD, Columbia 1997 release. Every now and then I like to sit back and let my hard earned system "wow" me. This recording certainly ticks all the hi fi boxes; wonderful soundstage depth and width, a great dynamic range, rock solid bottom end, and sweet highs. Musically, it ticks all my boxes as well. Best heard at comfortably loud volume in a dark room with eyes closed and no one else around .

Multiple splashes of apparent reincarnation of those we have loved and lost. Delightful.

John.

Do you have the vinyl version John - and if so where from?

Matt,

Thanks for the post, reminds me I've got a few gaps to fill in my NY catalog. Just ordered the CD for a fin off ebay. I'm envious of your vinyl as it is now rather cost prohibitive . I'm very much looking forward to hearing the CD.

I got my vinyl copy from Normans Records online. I had to wait a few weeks for them to get it in though.

Downward Spiral is Trent's and the Nines best album to date. The ferocity of the lyrics still reverberates to this day. I do like With Teeth but it is less visceral.
