Counting Crows. August And Everything After. On original CD from 1993. A powerful album by any standard, but especially impressive for a debut with well developed lyrics and vocals by Adam Duritz.

Personally never thought they bettered it.

Me too! Adam Duritz has had his personal mental health issues to deal with. To me, it stands as one of those magical albums captured at the right time and the right place for the band.

I have found all the (Beethoven to Mendelssohn) Hybrid SACD / Super Audio Northstar recordings of de Vriend and the NSO to be of excellent sound quality.

I haven't played this for a quite while and wanted to listen to them again.

"To Kill A King is one of the years best dark trip hop albums that tells the tale of a lonely and miserable Queen who desperately seeks to be free from the cruel bondage of her King. The Insert of the cd booklet gives you the storyline that follows the tracklisting beautifully. The songs are all emotive and filled with such elaborate beauty that just makes this album breathtaking. I was a fan of the bands first album Apparitions and liked GLO...but, this album is by far the best one yet!. Some people consider this music gothic trip hop or Dark Electronica...But, to me, its just a beautiful album." - An Amazonian
