Spock's Beard, Brief Nocturnes and Dreamless Sleep.  Second time I have tried to listen to this and these and the first time didn't got too well. I can only assume I was in the wrong frame of mind because this is pretty decent prog style rock so far.  Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Rush, Moving Pictures.  The album that started it all off for me and one I know so well that I rarely listen to it nowadays.  My favourite band at their peak, a truly superb album from start to finish and a real treat in 24 bit.  Audirvana/Hugo 24 bit flac

Thimothy Pure - Island Of The Misfit Toys

An emotional and atmospheric concept album, the lyrics, the music, the voice of the singer

perfectly fit together.

Kuma,

Did you get a chance to listen to Tharaud playing Chopin's Waltzs or is it Ramsey Lewis every night with you?

Haim,

Not yet.

I need to be in a special mood for Chopin Waltzes.

I will listen to it but I am revisiting B+B ( Beethoven/Brahms) again. I also want to revisit Schumann too which I haven't touched his stuff for a while.

Outlaws. Ghost Riders. On original vinyl from 1980. I have the Outlaws debut LP which is great for the epic "Green Grass & High Tides", but the rest is too much country sounding to me. This, their sixth album, is much more on the rock side and I like it better. Similar sound to Molly Hatchet and 38 Special.

My wife and I are trying to figure out wy we are so familar with Joe's cover of "Feelin' Good" which is on this album (and which we are listening to for the first time). Our initial thought was that the track was on a movie (thought perhaps a Bond movie theme) or TV soundtrack, but Googling doesn't turn up anything which would explain it. We listened to the Nina Simone version but that wasn't nearly as familiar. We've seen Joe quite a number of times in concert, so I guess that's all it is.

Kuma,

Could this get you into the proper Waltzs mood?:

Man, that was ten seconds apart!! The next challenge would be to also post an identical musical piece.

Haim,

No.

Prokofiev is more like it!
