My first 10cc album, initially on vinyl and now CD.  I've added a couple since by when I'm in the mood for 10cc, and I have to be in the mood, this is the album I always seem to go for.

I'm having an ECM New Series evening, this being the third I've played.

Everybody has a problem, do you want to talk about it :-)

And before that, this.

The Very Best of Bread.  I need something soothing after watching a very depressing programme about the Met Police and this does that very well, super smooth and chilled.  Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Playing CD no.6 of this 7 x CD box set:

Op.59 no.3 in C major "Rasumowsy"

Recorded in Evangelische Kirche, Seon, Switzerland,  August 1978

Op.131 in C sharp minor

Recorded in Evangelische Kirche, Seon, Switzerland, June 1983

I particularly enjoy the frequent up front boldness of the Cello playing in the 59 ...which covers the first 3 tracks of the CD, an analogue recording mastered ADD for CD in 1985.

The later 1983 recording of 131 being a DDD master which takes a back seat for warmth in the replay but perhaps even more due to Ludwig's composition. The slower movements carrying more emotion, the flightiness is a strange mix i find difficult to understand.

There was something magical happening when ABQ played Beethoven, and this is a vinyl album I keep returning to after 30 years:

Enjoy!

Fun and wacky Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra's early album 'Moods & Groves'.

Every tune is a sort of an adventure a la 60's hard boiled cheezy spy flick.

A decent solid performance as you would expect from these gentlemen...
