After the established guys I switched to the new kid on the block, he is still all over the place on this album, but some interesting ideas and enjoyable to listen to...
1st run during breakfast. So far a good impression...
Jeff Buckley. The Grace EPs. Five CD compilation from 2002. An artist hitherto unheard by me, I've seen many posts here for JB's music and thought I'd give this one a try. It is a beautifully packaged, sturdy box-set with great documentation. I've muddled my way through the entire set and while I can appreciate his artistry and musical stylings, this music is not for me. Fortunately, it's returnable.
An official recording of James solo playing songs off his latest album. Not going to be released.

Just before the nitty gritty of the U.S. open gets underway later, this "best of" from a great and famous son of Washington state. What a beautiful state it is too, several very happy months spent living and touring around there.
Steve,
Nice to hear you once had an opportunity to enjoy and appreciate the Evergreen State. I'm no fan of golf whatsoever, but with a Puget Sound venue, all the local media hype, a 'lone fir', links styling, and living only 20 miles from the venue I tuned in to a bit of the action. Initially I thought the course looked very barren; however the architecture bought a great deal of interest for a novice viewer like me. The ending was a spectacular competition. Apparently, any of DJ's time spent around "The Great One" hasn't rubbed-off

Another rack random - original 1991 vinyl. Don't think I've heard this in decades! It's really, really good (combining the best of Sylvian and Japan) and the SQ is pretty impressive too:

Agree Kevin. I'll 'spin' my WAV file after this:
Another record pulled at random out of the "R" section. This is the 1995 reissue, with real zip, on Virgin/EMI. Don't have an original to compare it with, but it sounds fine to me...
This got the better of me...G

Kevin, to use a classic forum phrase, you should grab yourself a SHM-CD Platinum issue, as it makes the Virgin 1995 CD 'sound broken'...... (SHM-CD from Japan of course - but don't worry, they are reassuringly expensive) .............

It is indeed Woy. Very fine music - Paich worked with the likes of Sinatra, Mel Tormé, Aretha, Ray Charles, Ella F, etc. The cover was of course irrelevant when I bought it.
Other MP LP covers you may enjoy...

I should have said, Woy, this was the '95 Vigin/EMI VINYL reissue... don't think I've ever heard this CD you mention.
