First time listening to Floyd's 'Umma Gumma'. Original Harvest Label US pressing sounds thin and poor.

I guess I am not a hard core fan enough to like this album. ( dreadful actually )

I find it interesting enough that I give it a spin every year or so when the mood strikes me, though I don't really know what that mood is. Typically HP listening so others in the house don't ask me what the hell I'm listening to. It gives me a perspective on the band's musical evolution.

Brilliant.... It's been played non-stop in our house (and car) for the last 6 months. The percussion and vocals are simply excellent.

Loved the songs from this album when on the radio.  Finally bought it 3 months ago.  Very good.  To me, they deliver a unique sound.

I got stuck to the Cream, by the extensive numbers and the brilliant interplay between the guys, this album is in that regards just dissapointing...

So I switched in my workout to this, much more enjoyable...

Ray Charles. Ingredients In A Recipe For Soul. On original stereo vinyl from 1963. I came across a rather pristine copy and figured why not drop a fin on it, the LP being as old as I am (and in much better shape). Wonderful sonics and musical production, though it didn't meet my own expectations of RC's 'soul music'. Worth a listen, but I wasn't really drawn in to it.

Bought the CD and then ripped so never actually played the CD version. Hence always thought the last track was a faulty rip i.e. the brilliant Taro for 5mins and then silence. So never got to hear the 'secret' last track until a few weeks ago when I read a review of the album. I then went back and split the last track so we've now got the full 12 tracks. They did the same with the last track on This is All Yours - I've since discovered ;-)

I do enjoy this band's Berlin School style.

Moved on to this which is a fairly terrible recording. Hires highlighting its terrible qualities even better!

A moment in time though and musically OK.
