Child ~ Child (2014)

Very heavy, very fuzzy blues guitar and guitar led gravelly vocals. Almost like Moody Blues fused with Black Sabbath, Enjoyable and well put together.

One Bandcamp patron writes: "Brilliant Blues / Doom fusion that combines Jazz freeform to create some of the creamiest sounds you’ll hear this year. The rhythm supplied by the bass and drum is one of the more solid I’ve heard and this allows the guitar to provide some of the most unbelievably intense breaks and hooks to ebb and flow over the top..."

Good stuff I had that on just the other day. Have you heard their new CD Alternative Light Source ? It's worth a listen.

I have, Steve. Just like their previous albums completely different from one another. It needs a few spins to work out what it's all about but they are ever so creative that it's painfully brilliant.

Roger Waters, pros cons hitchhiking on CD. I personally love this Album, it was not well received after he left Floyd. If you are a Waters fan, give it a go and then another and tune in

Barrows ~ Red Giant (2014)

Heavy instrumental rock (no vocals) I have been enjoying this for a month or so now.

"A concept album about the life of a star and what happens after it dies, the band depicts the stages of celestial death throughout the album’s five epic tracks...entrancing, circling riffs and rhythms intercut with explosive peaks"

Anyone know where to get a CD of this in the UK? Google didn't!

Steve Wilson, The Raven that refused to sing and other stories on CD, time to turn it down and just enjoy some quality Prog.

Like a lot of Bandcamp bands, these are downloads only - you;d have to download the FLAC and burn a CD

Can't say I ever really took to Mazzy and never really listened to any of their albums much after the first but I do like this.

The album is actually made up of 2 FM radio concerts, one from the Metro in Chicago and the other from LA both from 94. The only issue I have with it is that there are 4 trax repeated on the album.

It is up on Spotify Tony if you have access to that.

Just had a listen on Spotify and as expected not worth buying. Better stick with their first albums.

It looks as though the only way is to download it. I can't see reference to a physical album on their site. If you aren't a streamer you could download it and then burn it to CD. You can have a look here:
