Great album
Got a CD copy at last!
Indeed good!
No piano this morning, some music on the darker side...

Inspired by Adam's Unitiqute thread (and the issues of the definite article when it comes to metadata), I dug out this one; Infected. I remember buying this first on cassette - so I could immediately hear it in the car - and then on vinyl, and a little later on CD. The summer of '87 and it was a permanent fixture in the Pioneer radio cassette inside my VW Golf. I got a summer holiday job working as a messenger for a London law firm. There I learn't not a lot about the law but a whole load about betting on the horses. In one amazing week, not only did I have my first 100-1 win but also my first win on an accumulator, and best of all, I heard a rumour in the mailroom that Matt Johnson's brother was a trainee at the very firm where I was working. For some reason that eclipsed all the excitement of the horses, but sadly I never got to meet Mr Johnson...
Simply superb.... Must be at least a decade since I last heard this...
Thanks for refreshing my memory.
Just had to click on a buy now for 99p!

So after my more critical listen on my main system. I have to say that while it has some exciting screaming solo cello moments, overall the music is not inspiring enough. Has nothing to do with the artists they are doing a great job, the music itself is not so exciting.
First time I am really listening to Muse - looks like it's not my thing...

Try The 2nd Law Bert.
Great album, happy to be able to see him at North Sea Jazz Festival in less than two weeks.....

Did you ever see the accompanying film? I remember it on Channel 4 and then coming out on video tape but have never seen it on DVD or Blu-ray. I'd like to see it again but a quick search only brings up VHS copies as well a VCD. The VCD is rather pricey, so perhaps this is another one like Kate Bush's The Whole Story with a VCD release but still waiting on a DVD or Blu-ray. I have the Kate Bush VCD and picture quality is not much better than VHS, so I'm not going too spring for the VCD of Infected.

No... there was a film? tbh I was a bit 'busy' around then... ISTR not even having a telly until about '90 or '91.
