I'm six months into learning the tenor sax and this vinyl inspires.

Working the P3 tonight.

On very old MONO vinyl that's like a plate:

Out of Mike's stash. This is a 1980 reissue of Nina Simon 'Silk and Soul'.

I don't connect with her music at all and I could not even finish the A side. Her voice and style exhaust my patience.

The Rolling Stones. Its Only Rock 'n Roll. On vinyl from 1974. A rare play for this LP. A few good songs on side one, I'm always glad when I get to the end of side two.

Bruce Springsteen. Tunnel Of Love. On vinyl from 1987. A good set of songs, albeit a bit mellow both for Springsteen and for a Friday evening.

The Beatles. Real Love. Four song Maxi CD from 1996. I've been revisiting the three Beatles Anthology releases as of late. This, the CD equivalent of a 45 rpm EP, sits on the shelf next to them, so I thought I'd give it a rare spin.

Analogue Production Fantasy Series 45 rpm.

Bill Evans Shelly's Manne-Hole, Hollywood California.

Laid back and relax kind of groove but have to get up every 2 tunes.

This is why I don't reach out for 45 Lps. The flow of album gets interrupted too often.

A must if you have the patience for the very long films of Theo Angelopoulos.
