Sampling much rock, metal and generally heavy music from this label's back catalogue of the past five years. Twenty four tracks from various bands.

One of my very favorite Talk Talk albums. Took a while for me to appreciate and then one day it just clicked and it's been one of my most played ever since.

It is a wonderful record and a bit of a shock at the time, though you can hear bits peeking through on The Colour Of Spring. I think it's a bit of a hoot that EMI still tried to turn out a hit single from it. I Believe In You is ethereal bliss, but towards the end of the promo video you can see Mark fighting back a fit of the giggles...

I've loved Hollis's music since The Reaction in the late 70s and it's a crime he gave it up so early

Good find - I'll watch that later. Yes a great shame he gave up. I started with Colour of Spring, am just in the middle of Spirt and will finish with Laughing Stock. Great music

Just playing track 15 Tribal on a loop at high volume for the past twenty minutes or so. Fantastic hard driving rock with fuzz and Beck doing great work.

Tonality of of the recording is a pleasant surprise for the older recordings.....

A new one for me. Very pleasant indeed.

Some vintage Genesis. Firth of Fifth is a classic and More Fool Me is perhaps prescient in that it shows Phil C's ability to sing.  I wonder if the rest of the band realised at that point what that would lead to in the future? The only oddity on this album is the song The Battle Of Epping Forest. It might be just me but I've never 'got' that song and since it lasts over 11 minutes I guess the band didn't meant it as a filler.  Love the rest of it though.

One of my favourite albums. Epping Forest is quirky - love Peter's impersonations.

Lindisfarnes 'Time Gentlemen Please' Quality not brilliant, but the music and atmosphere more than make up for it! Memories of Christmas concerts at  Newcastle City Hall.
