Laid back and relax kind of groove but have to get up every 2 tunes.

This is why I don't reach out for 45 Lps. The flow of album gets interrupted too often.

Kuma,

It could have been much worse with a 10 inch 78 RPM vinyl. Their average playing time per side was three minutes. The disc jockeys of the 1910 era had to be olympic athletes.

+1. And I think we see here a Mellencamp establishing his voice and music as the voice of struggling farmers in America's heartland, much in the same vein Springsteen spoke for blue-collar workers in America's industrial northeast. Later Mellencamp albums would also address American racial issues. I respect artists that provide a larger message in their craft.

Hawkwind   -ZONES-   c.d.  in nice card cover and inserts on Flicknife label.

starts off with a couple of studio tracks and the album then segues into live tracks. One of my favourite versions of 'Brainstorm' finishes off the album; from the early '80's.

This is an excellent album: Claire's singing goes beautifully with the cello quartet. A lovely recording too.
