A great album. Three great artist coming together, playing well together, but also showing off their own qualities...

I was looking through my record collection and came upon this delightful album. Late '80s nostalgia, with some great melodies, beautifully sung by the lovely Aimee Mann.

And next to that was this, another great album released in the same year:

I particularly like the song 'Twist In My Sobriety'.

A change of pace.

It certainly is, Ewe. landmark album, much copied and still quite fresh considering it's been 20 years since release.

Good prompt. I haven't played my CD of this in years. Must dig it out.

Left to my own devices I don't think I would ever have considered buying a Norah Jones album but a good friend bought this for me as he liked it and I must say I've enjoyed it.

Strange, my early vinyl copy sounds wonderful.

Suzanne Vega, Solitude Standing. Whether its the new speaker cable or the new version of Audirvana, everything is soundiing very lovely tonight and this is no exception - masses of detail but really musical and deep tuneful bass that has arrived from I don't know where.  The remote on A+ is pretty cool too.  Flac via Audirvana/hugo

Dire Straits, Communique from The Studio Albums 180g box set. Bought my first copy when released back in late 70s and quality was so bad could rarely enjoy it - was so flat and dead. This copy brings the music alive.

Many thanks for the posting, she really is a class act.

Listened to all the albums on Spotify tonight and placed my Amazon order.

+1 I've always been a fan of Leonard Cohen,'Songs from a Room' was one of the first albums I bought after hearing,'You Know Who I Am',on the CBS sampler 'Fill Your Head With Rock'.

Beatles '65 (1964). On Capitol vinyl with the Apple label (mid-70s pressing). Lately, I've been listening to and very much enjoying some of the first LPs I bought back in grade school.

Stevie Ray Vaughan. The Sky Is Crying. On CD from 1991. In the mood for some Texas blues.

This one makes for an extremely relaxing start to the day.

Delbert McClinton. I'm With You. On CD from 1990. A rather accomplished but relatively little known musician/songwriter. This is my only album of his but I really should seek more.

Not a huge fan of his work, but this is a great album to start of a day..

Sixty Minute Zoom by Zoltan (2014)

Impressive second album from Zoltan. Menacing, atmospheric, soundscapes  created with great bass drone, synths and drums, instrumental, experimental rock from London.
