First listen, Jeff Beck, Live at Ronnie Scott's on CD. Seen it pop on here a few times so thought I'd give it a go. It really is very good!

I am enjoying this a lot! My vinyl arrived this week and tonight is the first time I have had to spin it.

First listen to Jeff Beck Live+ on CD. 3 tracks in and hooked

Glorious music and glorious reproduction quality. This album really shows what CD is capable of.

A very beautiful solo piano album...

Ewe, when is this expected to be out? I enjoyed Cover Girl.

Sept 25th. I think if you like Cover Girl you will like this.

Street Legal

Blimey,  I was playing Street Legal earlier this evening! for the first time in years. Prior to that I played Joan Armatrading and it brought back memories of Blackbush in 1978. Sadly, the rest of the family were unimpressed with SL

Played it to death when it came out. Classic Dylan.

For me it was always 'Blood on the Tracks'.

Today has been all about guitar playing, but unwound this evening with Camel's eponymous first album.

For me this was the pinnacle of Towshend's writing career...to me not a weak cut on a 4-sided effort...

Tony,

Thanks for the suggestion. Just sampled DRY and as much as 30 second snippets of songs can indicate, it sounds more upbeat and less morose than Uh Huh Her, plus it has a track named 'Joe' . PJ's vocals on DRY remind me of Chrissie Hinde, whom I'm a fan of. Multiple copies of the DRY CD are now available used on Amazon for the price of $0.01 (yes, that's one US penny) plus $3.99 shipping. Not much of a risk.

For me it was Greatest Hits Volume 2. It's one of the few Hits albums I would play (Simon and Garfunkel's is another). My dad bought it and I loved it. My brother and I persuaded him to get Desire and then Dylan came to Blackbush. We lived in Camberley so it was like the great man had come to see me (Mark Ellen describes the same feeling in Rockstars Ruined My Life). It was the summer after O Levels.and I had fallen for a German exchange student who had gone back to Germany the day before so I was desolate. A memorable day!

In the Meantime (2014)

An EP length album from Purson who many describe as a mix of Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, Pentangle and Coven. Someone should have told them that their style of fashion went out in the late 60s...

Starting of the day with some great piano playing. I am also looking forward to his new record...
